Here is an interview with me from a few years ago:

An Interview with Dave Kerman

2014 marked Dave’s 20th year as the drummer in the Belgian group, PRESENT. In November, the Disc Union label in Japan re-issued the three latest discs by the band: “Number Six", “High Infidelity" and “Barbaro (ma non troppo)" in a beautiful, gift-box set. Each disc was re-mastered, and contains at least 20 minutes of bonus material.

Dave will play drums with two bands (PRESENT and ARANIS) at the first Japanese installment of the ROCK IN OPPOSITION FESTIVAL. It takes place in Tokyo at Tsutaya O-East on 11/15 and 16. All together, ten bands in two days.

Dave is in a new band from Zurich, called STEPMOTHER. Knock’em Dead Records in the USA will be releasing the groups first album, “CALVARY GREETINGS", on both CD and 12" vinyl, just in time for X-Mas. The others in the band are Lucas Simonis (Vril, Dull Schicksall), Bill Gilonis (The Work, News From Babel) and Jeroen Visser (EC Nudes and Cedric Vuille).

January 2015

By this time, the Basel-based band “MRS. UNDERSTANDING" will have completed their first demo/ E.P., and be looking for more gigs in Switzerland, or in the nearby countries. Dave on drums, Marlon plays guitar, Yannik smacks the bass, and Michele sings. You can make contact via the “Contact" link to the above left.

March 2015

Dave will be personally re-issuing (in a limited number, via old-style, mail order post only) a physical version of the last studio E.P. by 5uu’s, “SAC- POUBELLE, THE TEL AVIV CONSTRUCTION EVENTS". Others on the disc are Bob Drake, Chris Cutler, Udi Koomran, Scott Brazieal, Ned Rothenberg, Janet Feder and Avi Belelli. There’s 20 minutes of extremely strange, computer-manipulated music (that still passes for songs), and tons of 5uu’s photos and memorabilia, collated and stuffed into a medium sized ziplock bag. Outside artwork by Liesbeth Lambrecht. You can make contact via the “Contact" link to the above left.
