Welcome to Precognitive. Home of the music and art of Kimara Sajn, B.Sue Johnson,Polyethylene Pet, +1, etc. Precognitive Records (formerly SCS Music), in addition to providing the original cassette releases, has also begun to reissue the entire SCS back-catalogue on CD. Our entire discography can be found here on this site. Many of the albums listed have full-length audio of certain cuts. In particular, the recordings of the infamous +1 (and its evil twin Polyethylene Pet) are here. These are the progressive rock tape projects produced by Kimara Sajn and featuring at various times Chris Diurni, Michael Ward, B.Sue Johnson, Erling Wold, Joe Palermo , Van Spragins , John Bush, Chuck Sutfin, Ed Dickie, Kirsten Denner and others. These albums range in style from the deceptively accessable "Perspective" to the downright abstract "Side Effect Souls". The music on these records is often wildly adventurous and uncompromising -- with an interest in extreme tape textures and complex musical ideas. However, it's always original, thought-provoking and fresh. Please feel free to browse our catalogue. Listen to the full-length audio provided for many of the tracks in the discography. You can visit our Music Samples page for a direct listing of all available full-length samples. You can also tune into Progressive Soundscapes Radio using the links on the front page. They will be able to play many of the tracks you see in the CD and Tape listings, if you are interested in a cut which isn't on the Samples page. We hope you'll enjoy what you hear. In a few cases, the music is provided in midi format. More audio will be provided as time permits, so keep checking back. Most of the audio requires Windows Media, so be sure to download it if you need to. If you have questions about these recordings or wish to order from us, just send us an email. Thanks for visiting! The last hour has been bought for you by Red Balloon, makers of Amphetamine Shirt (and other fine consumer products). |
